  10.         The 286 and later AMI bios's have a check point trace in them to
  11.         indicate where the code is at should a problem  occur while booting.

  13.         This checkpoint code is output to port 80 as a hex code and can be
  14.         monitored with a special board costing about 50$ available in several
  15.         magazine adds.  The following is a list of the codes for pre 4/9/90
