  7. There are 1,100 items on this PDA (Personal Digital
  8. Assistant) CD for Newton 1.x users and over 950 items
  9. for 2.x users. It contains items added as late as Oct.
  10. 1997. Packages can be downloaded directly from this CD-ROM
  11. to your MessagePad.

  14. This issue of the Newton CD-ROM adds several hundred
  15. packages and gives you greater flexibility for
  16. loading packages.

  32. Using this CD-ROM for Newton
  33. At first sight the amount of Newton files that we have found
  34. may surprise you! So many programs to load, so little time!
  35. And where is that portable CD player for the Newton?
  36. We strive to include every possible Newton application 
  37. for the Newton, please send us files we are missing!

  39. Where is Everything?
  40. You may want to start in the PKGS DIR. There are 2 text
  41. directories of all files by date, and name in each directory.
  42. A FileMaker 3.0 database is provided, which includes
  43. descriptions of all of the Newton applications.
  44.  
  45. The files have been organized into separate folders, and the
  46. author's documentation should give you any help you need. You
  47. should definitely read all of the documentation before
  48. loading any package onto your Newton. You need to know where
  49. you should install it (internal memory or RAM card), and any
  50. warnings. Major problems can be avoided by reading the docs
  51. first.
