  1. INSTALLATION:

  3. To install the PC MUSICIAN 2000 CD-ROM, log onto your CD-ROM drive and type
  4. "SETUP." You will be prompted for the destination directory and the
  5. drive letter of your CD-ROM. The setup routine will copy some
  6. necessary DLLs into the Windows directory and the program files
  7. into the directory you specify.

  9. To view the documentation, consult the PCMUSIC.HLP file or
  10. PCMUSIC.WRI.
  11.

  13. Please note that SHARE.EXE must be loaded to run the PC MUSICIAN 2000 
  14. CD-ROM. If SHARE is not loaded, the program will not work properly and no 
  15. files will be listed in the Programs List Box.

  18. INSTALLATION ERRORS:
  19.  
  20. Occasionally a DLL will be in use when you install PC MUSICIAN 2000. Make 
  21. sure you close all applications prior to setup. If you still cannot install
  22. a particular file, it is generally safe to click on "IGNORE" and continue 
  23. with the installation. If you encounter errors running PC MUSICIAN 2000 
  24. following the installation, you can copy the uncompressed DLL found in 
  25. [D:]\PCMUSIC where D: is the CD-ROM drive, into the WINDOWS\SYSTEM 
  26. directory. DO NOT COPY AN OLDER DLL OVER A NEWER ONE! It is preferable 
  27. to compare file versions using a utility such as Quickview (Win95) prior to
  28. copying.

  30. ADDING SHARE.EXE TO AUTOEXEC.BAT
  31.  
  32. Some systems will tell you to add Share.exe to your autoexec.bat
  33. at the end of the installation. First, try to run the Electronics 2000 
  34. program. If the program runs normally, share is not required. If you do 
  35. not see any files listed, then you will need to add the share.exe command. 
  36. SHARE.EXE should be located in your DOS directory. To add it to your 
  37. autoexec.bat file, type:

  39. "EDIT c:\autoexec.bat"
  40. "[C:\DOS\]share.exe /l:500"
  41.  
  42.  
  43. Then save the file and reboot.
  44.  
  45. [C:\DOS\] is the path where share.exe is located.
