- D-10 CONTROL for Windows 1.0a
- by Harry Mark
- (C) 1995 Midieval Software
- ----------------------------------------------------------------------
- D-10 Control for Windows is a patch editor for the Roland D-10 and
- compatible synthesizers. It gives you full control over both the multi-
- timbral and performance modes. You can edit and select tones, timbres,
- patches, and system parameters easily...even load tones straight from
- files. You can load or save synth data in MIDI file or MIDIEX format
- for use with your other MIDI applications. With the virtual keyboard
- you can modify and test sounds without touching the synthesizer. D-10
- Control makes your PC an extension of your synth, overcoming the
- limitations of the D-10's user interface.
-
- Requires: Roland D-10 or compatible synthesizer (D-5, D-20), Windows 3.1
- or later, MIDI interface, VGA or better video, and mouse.
-
- NOTE: This application will work with a D-110 also, but since the D-110
- is not 100% compatible with the D-10, some features may not work.
-
- For the latest information and release, visit our web site at
- http://www.io.org/~mdvl. This package will also be available through
- selected ftp sites with the file name d10ctw10.zip.
-
- If you have comments or suggestions, Midieval Software can be reached at
- mdvl@io.org or P.O. Box 902, North Bay ON P1B 8K1, CANADA.
-
- This version is for evaluation. Certain features have been disabled.
- By registering the copy, all features will be accessible. To register,
- send a completed order form (see ORDERFRM.WRI) and payment to Midieval
- Software. A registration key will then be sent to you which will unlock
- all of the features. The evaluation version has the following
- limitations:
- - Registration messages appear
- - Only Part 1 can be edited
- - Data cannot be saved to disk or to the synthesizer
-
- The benefits of registration are: access to all features, technical
- support, and helping Midieval Software develop more high quality
- software at reasonable prices.

- TROUBLESHOOTING
- ======================================================================
- Depending on your MIDI driver, D-10 Control might not be able to work
- while other applications that use the MIDI device are running.
-
- Ensure that your MIDI drivers are properly configured.
-
- If the MIDI setting needs to be changed, edit the D10CTLW.INI file
- (found in the Windows directory) and set:
- SysExChannel=0
-
- This will tell D-10 Control to bring up the Setup Window the next time
- D-10 Control is run.
