  1. NoteWorthy Composer 1.30b, Notation Processor for Windows

  3. A Shareware music composition and notation processor for Windows,
  4. providing for the creation, play back, and printing of your own 
  5. musical scores. You can:

  8.   the staves you select, in several font sizes

  80. ** Upgrade Instructions For Owners of Previous Versions:
  81. If you have an older version of NoteWorthy Composer, you
  82. should install this new version into a different directory 
  83. or folder. If you currently have version 1.21d, you can easily
  84. remove this older version using the NWREMOVE utility included 
  85. in that package. If you want to keep the older versions, this 
  86. is fine as long as you do not run older versions at the same 
  87. time as this new version.

  89. ** Installation Instructions:
  90. If you have received the NWC files in an archive such as a
  91. ZIP file, extract the files into either a temp directory on your 
  92. hard drive, or onto a dedicated diskette.
  93.  
  94. Run the SETUP application that is contained in this directory
  95. or diskette that you created. For example, if you extracted the
  96. application files into a disk in drive A: then from the Program
  97. Manager you would select the Run command from the File menu, type
  98. A:\SETUP and press enter.
  99.  
  100. Once SETUP starts executing, just follow the prompts. After the
  101. install is complete, an on-line context sensitive help file can
  102. guide you the rest of the way.

  104. ** Installation Problems:
  105. The SETUP utility tests most of the files that are installed to
  106. make that they have not been corrupted or subject to tampering
  107. prior to their installation. If you get an error during 
  108. installation which indicates a changed or corrupted file, you
  109. may experience problems with the product after it is installed.
  110. In this case, you may want to check with our support services
  111. to see how you can download or acquire a new copy. The fee for
  112. mailing a diskette with the latest Shareware version is currently
  113. US $7, payable directly to us as described in the "How to Order" 
  114. section of the help file.

  116. It is also possible that the SETUP utility is experiencing 
  117. problems installing the application files onto your system even
  118. if the source files have not been corrupted.  Some disk caching
  119. utilities may cause this to happen. If you are using a disk 
  120. caching utility on your system, and you experience difficulties 
  121. during the SETUP process, then try running SETUP from a clean 
  122. boot. This involves rebooting your system without such that
  123. the disk cache is not loaded.

  125. ** A Note About Future Upgrades
  126. We may, from time to time, release new updates that enhance the 
  127. software base included in this version of NoteWorthy Composer.
  128. These updates will be provided as *.UPG files, which can be 
  129. processed by the enclosed NoteWorthy Updater application. As 
  130. with any new issue of NoteWorthy Composer, we will notify all
  131. "wired" customers via e-mail when an update is made available
  132. online.
