MIDIKeys v1.10 is a multimedia device driver for Microsoft Windows 3.1, 3.11, or Windows 95. It allows the real-time input of MIDI data into a MIDI sequencer without the need for a MIDI mother keyboard (thats the sort with black and white keys on it) connected to the PC. The release date for MIDIKeys v1.10 (registered and shareware versions) is 13th February 1996 It performs this task by allocating keys on the PC keyboard which are scanned for key presses. These key presses are converted into MIDI keydown and keyup messages which the MIDI sequencer understands Note that MIDIKeys is not a MIDI sequencer. MIDIKeys needs a MIDI sequencer such as Cakewalk or Cubase to make use of the data that it generates (see appendix C for a list of compatible sequencers). To hear the results of your creative talents you will need an installed Windows compatible sound card
