  1. Welcome to this demo version of WaveLab 1.5 for Windows 95 and 
  2. Windows NT 4.0!

  4. FIRST OF ALL: WaveLab is a truly native 32 bit Windows 95 program:
  5. it does not run on Windows 3.1 !
  6.  
  7.  
  8. The WaveLab demo contains all the features of the normal version 
  9. except the following:
  10.  
  11. 1.  You cannot Save Audio files.
  12. 2.  You can create Audio databases but you can not reopen them.
  13. 3.  You cannot Record audio.
  14.  
  15.  
  16. In the Wavelab Demo folder you will find:
  17. 1) SETUP.EXE (to install WaveLab)
  18. 2) READ_1ST.TXT (this file).

  21. To run WaveLab 1.5  you need the following minimum system: 
  22.  
  23.     Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0
  24.  
  25.     486 microprocessor (486 DX recommended). For realtime 
  26.     performance Pentium processor required.   
  27.     ATTENTION: To get the best out of your WaveLab program, 
  28.     we recommend using INTEL Pentium processors for the realtime 
  29.     engine.

  31.     8 megabytes of RAM, 16 or more recommended.
  32.  
  33.     6 megabytes of hard disk space for program installation
  34.  
  35.     16 bit compatible Sound Card
  36.

  38. If you use Windows 95 (rather than Windows NT), it is important that 
  39. your virtual memory settings are correct when working with large audio 
  40. files. In the Windows 95 Control Panel, open the System setup and 
  41. click on the Virtual Memory button. If you are not certain whether 
  42. you have at least 20 MegaBytes of virtual memory space, click on the 
  43. button "Let me specify my own memory settings".  As a minimum, you 
  44. should specify 20 MegaBytes or, if possible, a value between 2 and 
  45. 3 times the amount of your computer RAM memory.
