-
- IN THIS RELEASE (v1.60i')
- -------------------------
- (1) A correction was made to stop the program from prompting the
- user to save a file, when closing the application, if the file
- was already saved and no additional changes were made.
-
- (2) A number of modifications were made to the Data Input Form
- routine which now operates as follows:
-
- - It permits the entry of more than 15 characters (earlier
- releases limited any field width to a max of 15).
-
- - It uses the format of the header for the cell contents.
-
- - It skips zero-width columns, but advances the field position.
-
- - It skips protected cells without advancing the field position.
-
- (3) A correction was made to the printing routine to eliminate
- the problem of characters being clipped due to a slight rotation
- implemented in earlier releases, in order to force the use of
- TrueType fonts.
-
- (4) A modification was made so that the scaling factor, in the
- Print, Options dialog also applies to printed graphs.
-
- (5) The data label location for bar graphs is now relative to
- the midpoint of the graph, rather than the left edge as in
- earlier releases.
-
- (6) A number of additional dialogs were discovered having
- problems on systems using "Large" fonts and were corrected
- in this release.
-
- (7) A correction was made to the Linear regression output so that
- the SIGMAx and SIGMAy fields are now correctly labeled as
- "Sigma x^2" and "Sigma Y^2" respectively.
-
- (8) A new option was added under Sheet, General, Advanced that
- controls the automatic creation of backup worksheet files. If
- the option is checked, the backup files are automatically created
- when a File Save command is executed. If it's not checked,
- backup files are NOT created.
-
- (9) A modification was made to the Regression routine to correct
- an error that sometimes would print a high bit ASCII character in
- the cell where the label Intercept was supposed to be placed.
-
-
-
- IN THIS RELEASE (v1.60h')
- --------------------------
- (1) A correction was made to the "fraction" formatting option,
- which would not display negative fractions appropriately.
-
- (2) A correction was made so the program now displays negative
- times correctly. Furthermore, if a cell is formatted as Time#3 or
- Time#4, the user may now enter times by simply typing hh:mm,
- i.e., without having to use @TIMEVAL.
-
- (3) The calculation stack was doubled to eliminate problems when
- copying large ranges, where not all cells would recalculate.
- When copying ranges with more that about 8000 formula cells, this
- error would sometimes manifest itself as an entry of a VERY small
- exponential value.
-
- (4) A modification was made to ensure that if a new sheet is
- opened, and changes are made to it, it would not lose its
- "modified" status if a File, New command was executed. In
- earlier releases, in such a situation the program would permit
- you to close the file without prompting you to save it.
-
- (5) A modification was made to the scroll bar updating routine,
- so that when copying to the bottom of the sheet, the vertical
- scroll bar is updated respectively.
-
- (6) A correction was made to the {PRINTOPTION...} macro, which
- would not interpret any scale settings correctly in earlier
- releases.
-
- (7) The dialog size was adjusted to compensate for problem
- reported by some users when using "large" font settings.
-
- (8) The installation process was modified so that it does not
- overwrite any of the macro and button files, from a previous
- installation, which might have been modified by the user.
-
- (9) A correction was made to the SpeedSum button. In earlier
- releases, highlighting a range in the second panel (tab) and
- clicking on the button would sum the equivalent range in the
- first panel (tab).
-
-
-
- IN THIS RELEASE (v1.60h)
- -------------------------
-
- (1) A modification was made so that cell entries made using the
- @DATEVAL function, to a Type-4 date formatted cell, retain the
- function rather than evaluating it prior to making the entry in
- the cell, and simply entering the serial date number.
-
- (2) A correction was made to enable the PageUp, PageDown and Tab
- keys which for some reason had been disabled in one of the
- earlier releases.
-
- (3) A correction was made to the properties dialogs. In earlier
- releases, if the dialog was invoked by right-clicking, in some
- instances the user would only have access to the last accessed
- properties (e.g., Cell borders), rather than the complete set of
- options available.
-
- (4) A correction was made to the "erase" action, which would at
- times unlink the remaining cells which could then only be
- recalculated by pressing F9.
-
- (5) A correction was made to the Print Preview mode to protect
- against the user entering a very large text scale value which
- might cause the program to fail
-
-
-
-
- IN THIS RELEASE (v1.60g')
- -------------------------
-
- (1) A minor modification was made to the File Open dialog which
- sometimes would display the message "AS-EASY-AS Import".
-
- (2) A correction was made to the graph module to ensure that the
- array holding the "labels" can accomodate up to 1000 entries.
-
- (3) A correction was made to avoid the problem of the program
- reporting an access violation error if the user pressed Alt-F4.
-
- (4) A modification was made so that if a new file is saved under
- a user specified filename, the next time the File Save command is
- executed (for the same file), the program does not automatically
- open the File SaveAs dialog.
-
- (5) The Manual/Automatic calculation indicator in the lower right
- corner is now automatically updated when a sheet gets the focus.
-
- (6) A correction was made to the date formats. Apparently, in
- earlier releases date formats #2 and #5 had been swapped.
-
- (7) A correction was made to the {RANGEFORMAT...} macro which did
- not work correctly when trying to format date ranges in earlier
- releases.
-
- (8) A correction was made to the routine handling cell entries which
- would fail for values greater that MaxLongInt. The problem was
- discovered during the solution of a complex Linear Programming matrix,
- although it might have appeared in other instances where a cell
- value exceeded MaxLongInt.
-
-
-
- IN THIS RELEASE (v1.60g)
- ------------------------
-
- (1) A minor modification was made to the File GetInfo dialog to
- eliminate the product number and user name display, since that
- information is displayed under the Help About dialog.
-
- (2) A modification was made to have the column width of the
- current cell displayed in the control panel area, if it is other
- than the default column width.
-
- (3) A correction was made to the Data Form command, to avoid
- skipping the first record when the command was initially
- invoked.
-
- (4) A correction was made to the 3D Graphs to ensure that the
- solid grid lines would be offset correctly for the 3D
- perspective. Also, the bar painting algorithm was corrected to
- eliminate a one-pixel gap that existed in the erlier release.
-
- (5) A new macro command was implemeneted to accomodate the Data
- Form command. The new command is {DATAFORM Range}.
-
- (6) The {GRAPH} macro command was re-activated to simply display
- the current graph until the user presses a key. This is really
- a subset of the {GRAPHVIEW...} macro , but allows for more
- compatibility with older files that utilized the {GRAPH} macro.
-
- (7) A new macro {FILEFOCUS...} was implemented that allows the
- user to change the focus to a specified worksheet file already
- open.
-
- (8) A correction was made to the Data Parse command to parse
- more than just a single column in the specified range.
-
- (8) A correction was made to the Data regression macro commands
- to ensure they could appropriately handle range names as
- arguments.
-
- (9) A correction was made to the contour graph type, to
- eliminate vertical and horizontal line interference, and
- smoouth out the contour curves.
-
- (10) A modification was made to the way the Edit Copy/Edit Paste
- operations work. In earlier releases, the operations would
- transfer the cell contents, i.e., formulas, functions, etc. to
- the Windows clipboard. That worked fine when copying within
- AS-EASY-AS, but was not very helpful when trying to transfer
- information to Word processors and other applications. The
- program now transfers the information as formulas (cell
- contents) when transferring within AS-EASY-AS, but as as seen
- on the screen when transferring to a different application.
-
- (11) Two new options were added to the program that allow the
- user to import and export dbf (dBASE) files, under the File
- Import and File Export dialogs.
-
- (12) An error was corrected that limited the number of named
- graphs to 10. This error might prevent files created with the
- DOS version 5.70 of the program to load if they contained more
- than 10 named graphs. The limit in the new release was set to
- 50 named graphs.
-
-
-
-
- RELEASE v1.06f'
- ---------------
- (1) A problem was corrected involving printing the rows
- identified by the user as the 'border' rows.
-
- (2) A problem was corrected with the printed 'border' columns
- which were not being considered in the total print width
- calculation.
-
- * New, expanded, keyword-based macro language
- Based on macro keywords, rather that key-letters, the new
- implementation allows greater flexibility and ensures
- compatibility with future releases.
-
- * Global, worksheet-independent macros
- Universal macros may be assigned to one of 50 quick buttons
- and then executed with a single mouse click. A bitmap may
- also be assigned to the macro button (a collection of bitmaps
- is provided with the program).
-
- * External User-definable functions
- In addition to the hundreds of built-in functions, users may
- now define their own in an external file. Worksheets using
- these functions may be shared with others without having to
- share the function libraries.
-
- * Simple and Multi-Variate Regression
- From simple trend analysis to Multivariate (up to 3
- variables), non-linear least squares regression using up to
- 5th degree polynomials, SQR(x), SQRT(x), EXP(x) or LN(x).
-
- * Linear Programming, Min/Max Optimization
- Capable of handling up to 8 independent variables, the
- built-in Min/Max module (Using the big "M" method), allows the
- user to perform optimization analysis, easier than ever
- before.
-
- * Built-in Special math/engineering/statistical functions
- Beta, Bessel, Gamma and Error functions; Gaussian and Poisson
- distributions; Kurtosis, Skewness, Covariance, Recurrence,
- Integration, Double Interpolations,...
