  3. This README file contains information concerning installation.  It also
  4. contains information not found in on-line help or in the other .DOC files.
  5.  
  6. If you are installing this interim release over the initial release of
  7. ConvertPerfect (i.e., in the same directory), and you used ConvertPerfect
  8. to convert Prestige Elite fonts in WordPerfect 4.2, DCA, or Displaywrite
  9. files, you must rename your .SET file before entering ConvertPerfect (e.g.,
  10. type REN *.SET *.OLD while in the ConvertPerfect directory).

  12. README files ending with a .DOC extension (for example, AMIPRO.DOC) have
  13. been installed for the drivers you selected during install.  They are as

  57. The .DOC files are in ASCII format.  Each file documents the conversion of
  58. codes to and from WordPerfect 5.1 and a specified format.
  59.  
  60. There is no written documentation for ConvertPerfect 1.0.  All information
  61. concerning the use of ConvertPerfect can be accessed on-line by pressing
  62. Help (F3).  Help for the specific drivers can be accessed by highlighting
  63. the driver and typing the letter H.
  64.  
  65. Files and Buffers should both be set at a minimum of 20 in your CONFIG.SYS
  66. file.
  67. To use a mouse with ConvertPerfect you must use either MOUSE.COM or install
  68. MOUSE.SYS.  More information can be found by accessing ConvertPerfect's
  69. on-line Help (F3) under Mouse Support.

  71. To use the shell macro ALTSHFTC.SHM, you must copy it to your Office
  72. directory (or to the location specified as your Macro Directory for shell
  73. macros).  To learn more about this macro, start ConvertPerfect, press H for
  74. Help, highlight ALTSHFTC.SHM and press Enter.

  76. For the file format to be valid after conversion, the file must be
  77. retrieved into the target program and saved.  If the file is not retrieved
  78. into the target program and saved, further conversions on the file using
  79. ConvertPerfect may not be supported.

  81. ConvertPerfect may be used on networks.  For information regarding network
  82. capabilities use ConvertPerfect's on-line Help (F3) and review the use of
  83. the /PS and /U switches under Command Line Switches.

  85. Information on customer support can be accessed on-line by pressing Help
  86. (F3), highlighting Customer Support, and pressing Enter.
