  2. To run John & Rob's Multimedia Kaleidoscope requires a great deal of
  3. multimedia horsepower.    In addition to a fast machine, a ProAudio 16,
  4. you should certainly have a fast VGA card.  Below is a list of the
  5. hardware requirements to run the Kaleidoscope.
  6.  
  7.     With DrumPak (8 channel 16 bit digital percussions):

  9.      DOS 5.0 with 560k+ free memory.
  10.      EMS memory manager with 500k free EMS memory.
  11.      486 25mhz or faster.
  12.      386 40mhz or faster.
  13.      Fast VGA card.
  14.      ProAudio Spectrum 16 sound card.
  15.  
  16.     Without DrumPak:
  17.  
  18.      Will run on slower 386 machines.  Doesn't need as much DOS
  19.      memory and EMS.
  20.  
  21.     Type 'JROB' to run the Kaleidoscope.

  24. John & Rob's Multimedia Kaleidoscope is interactive art.  It
  25. incorporates all of the aspects of multimedia in an enganging
  26. interactive environment. The Kaleidoscope is meant to be an active
  27. experience.  You control the visual and audio effects, and in this
  28. fashion are an active participant in this work of art.    Be sure to go to
  29. the help screen ('H') and discover all of the keys to controlling the
  30. Kaliedoscope's many visual effects.

  32. Every time you bring up the Kaleidoscope it represents a new experience.
  33. Be sure to use the different texture map modes ('T') and different
  34. mirror modes ('M').  There is no limit to the number or variety of
  35. visual and audio effects you can create with the Kaleidoscope.

  37. The Multimedia Kaleidoscope was created by computer game author John W.
  38. Ratcliff (688 Attack Sub) and game musician Rob Wallace (The Miracle
  39. Piano System).    We are proud of what we have been able to achieve.  If
