- UBIQUITOUS: Being, or seeming to be
- everywhere at the same time.
-
- ULNA: One of the two long bones of the
- lower part of the front leg, or arm. It
- articulates with the radius, and is on the
- same side of the leg as the fifth digit.
- Most of the muscles that pull the arm
- forwards and backwards attach to the
- ulna. The upper end of the ulna is the
- "elbow."
-
- ULTRASAURUS: [Ull-trah-SOAR-uss]
- "Ultra Reptile." A name given to two
- different dinosaurs that lived in
- different places at different times and
- may or may not be closely related. One
- is from South Korea and formally
- named, the other is from western North
- America [Colorado]. The skeletal
- material recovered so far suggests they
- both are probably Brachiosaurus.
-
- UTAHRAPTOR: [You-taw-RAPP-torr]
- "Utah Predator." Late Jurassic, large,
- bipedal, flesh-eating dinosaur with a
- sickle claw on each foot. Large relative
- of Deinonychus. Known only from
- fragments. Found in North America.
