  5.         Before installation, please make sure that you have read all of 
  6.      following installation notice.
  7.      
  8.      1) Introduction:
  9.      
  10.         Intel has introduced 430TX/440LX chipset with latest feature of "ACPI",   
  11.      "USB" & "Ultra DMA/33". Since these devices are so new that Win'95  
  12.      did not anticipate to support them on Aug. of '95 which Win'95      
  13.      initially is being released. Under Win'95 Device Manager, you may  
  14.      see following devices installed:
  15.           
  16.         -Other Devices
  17.            ? PCI Bridge
  18.            ? PCI Card (or PCI Universal Serial Devices)
  19.         -Hard Disk Controllers
  20.            Standard Dual PCI IDE Controller
  21.            Primary IDE Controller
  22.            Secondary IDE Controller
  23.      
  24.         Although your system will still work fine with these "?" exist, we 
  25.      received many requests about how to eliminate it. AOpen driver team 
  26.      spends few weeks to develop this utility for convenience of Win95 
  27.      users. It is very user friendly and can be used on any TX/LX mainbaord, 
  28.      not limited to AOpen's motherboard. You are welcome to distribute it, 
  29.      simply say thanks to our driver team.

  32.      2) Before installation:
  33.      
  34.         Please determine the version of Windows '95 on your system by 
  35.      following steps,
  36.                
  37.              1. Double click "System" in "Control Panel". 
  38.              2. Click "General".
  39.              3. Look for "System" heading and refer to following,
  40.                
  41.                      4.00.950                Windows 95
  42.                      4.00.950A               Windows 95 + Service Pack
  43.                                              or OEM Service Release 1
  44.                      4.00.950B               OEM Service Release 2
  45.                                              or OEM Service Release 2.1
  46.                
  47.         If you are running OSR 2.1, you may tell it from by checking "USB   
  48.      Supplement to OSR2" in the list of installed program of Add/Remove   
  49.      program tool under Control Panel, and checking for version 4.03.1212 
  50.      of the Ntkern.vxd file in the Windows\System\Vmm32 folder.

  53.      3) Installation Procedure
  54.      
  55.         1. Start system & execute AOchip.exe under Windows'95.
  56.         2. Please enable/disable the check boxes, then click "install" button.
  57.        (You may also click "uninstall" button for restoring to the original 
  58.        status).
  59.         3. A message box appears and shows "The utility has updated completely."
  60.            After clicking "Exit" button, system will automatically reboot.
  61.         4. Windows 95 will recognize the presence of the Intel 82439TX (or 82443LX)
  62.        and 82371AB controller during Windows 95 start up.
  63.         5. If Windows 95 prompt & ask for the driver of "Intel 82371AB    
  64.            PCI Bus Master IDE Controller", please select "Windows default   
  65.            driver" by pressing "OK".
  66.         6. At last, the correct devices will be created and recognized under 
  67.        Device Manager.

  70.      4) Bus Master/Ultra DMA 33 Driver
  71.      
  72.         Bus Master/Ultra DMA 33 driver for Windows '95 is available from 
  73.      AOpen homepage also. Please download the driver & install it for 
  74.      maximum performance under Windows'95. After installation, you will see 
  75.      following under Device Manager:

  77.             -Hard Disk Controllers  
  78.                Intel 82371AB PCI Bus Master IDE Controller 
  79.                Primary Bus Master IDE Controller
  80.                Secondary Bus Master IDE Controller
