  1.                     WELCOME TO THE MICROSOFT WINDOWS 3.1
  2.                   PRINTER DRIVER COMPATIBILITY TESTS (PCT)
  3.  
  4.   The Microsoft Windows 3.1 PCT is a collection of tests designed to
  5. exercise your printer driver. It consists of both test applications
  6. and retail applications. These tests will help to insure that your
  7. printer driver is stable and functionally correct. To install the
  8. tests, run PCTSETUP.EXE (on this disk) from either File Manager or
  9. Program Manager.

  11.   The files on these disks are compressed. The setup program will
  12. automatically expand them as it copies them to your hard disk. You
  13. may also expand these files with DECOMP.EXE, also on this disk.
  14. However, if you expand the files directly, you will not be able to
  15. use some of the test programs, as the setup program also makes
  16. changes to WIN.INI.
  17.  
  18.   The PCT includes the shipping versions of Microsoft Word for Windows
  19. 1.1a, Microsoft PowerPoint for Windows 2.00e, and Aldus PageMaker for
  20. Windows 4.0. These applications are included with permission from
  21. the owners and are to be used for driver testing only. ANY OTHER USE
  22. OF THIS SOFTWARE IS IN VIOLATION OF THE MICROSOFT WINDOWS 3.1 DDK
  23. LICENSING AGREEMENT AND INTERNATIONAL COPYRIGHT LAW.
