  10. What is Download Limit Buster(Gary-Z)?
  11. ======================================
  12.    You can simply reglad it as a Faked Z-modem transfer protocol.
  13. This program is a external protocol for DOS communication program,
  14. escpecially for TELIX 3.22(or above). When you use Gary-Z to receive
  15. a file from a BBS, after you have finished download a file to home,
  16. you will see the BBS said "No file sent" or etc.
  17.    If your BBS is provided user statistic, you can found that the
  18. download count for you remaining the same no.!!! So, you can download
  19. all you want on a BBS without limit (but still have time limit :) )!

  21.   All source is written by Turbo Pascal 6.0. Source code is available with
  22. US$50. Email to me if you want.

  25. Auto Installation for Telix 3.2x-3.5x:
  26. ======================================
  27. 1. copy all the files in this package to your TELIX's directory
  28. 2. Run INSTALL.EXE in TELIX's directory, that's all.

  31. Manual Installation for Telix 3.2x-3.5x:
  32. ========================================
  33. 1. copy all the files in this package to your TELIX's directory
  34. 2. Run TELIX
  35. 3. Press alt-o to options menu
  36. 4. Choose the item "Protocol option"
  37. 5. Add a external protocol by pressing "a"
  38. 6. Set  Key             : G
  39.         Protocol Name   : Gary-Z
  40.         Upload filename : Gary-sz
  41.         Download filen. : Gary-rz
  42.         Batch or script : Batch
  43.         DL Name         : N
  44.         Trigger String  : **B00
  45. 7. Back to the options menu and choose "Terminal Option"
  46. 8. Set Z-modem auto-download to Off.
  47. 9. Back to the options menu and choose "Write setup to disk", that's all.

  49.    For other communication program, you can refer to the user menu to set
  50. GARY-Z as a external Zmodem protocol. And edit the GARY-RZ.BAT and
  51. GARY-SZ.BAT if needed.

  56.    For reference, there are 5 parameter for Gary-Z.EXE, you can refer to
  57. GARY-RZ.BAT and GARY-SZ.BAT for detail.
  58.    Usage: Gary-Z <Mode> <CRC-CHECK> <Baudrate> <COM port no.> <Download Path>
  59.    Mode        : -r = Zmodem receive
  60.                  -s = Zmodem send
  61.    CRC-CHECK   : -16 = Use CRC-16 checking
  62.                  -32 = Use CRC-32 checking (recommend)
  63.    Baudrate    : 1200-57600
  64.    Com port no.: 1-4
  65.    Downpath    : Download path, eg. C:\TELIX\DOWNLOAD\

  68. How to using Gary-Z:
  69. ====================
  70.   You just simply choose a file from BBS, then start download by Zmodem.
  71. As now Gary-Z is replacing your default Z-modem, Gary-Z will then
  72. start to receive this file automatically. Just so easy.
  73.   The key <F-10> is hotkey for toggle Normal/Faked Z-modem transfer.
  74.   For Normal Z-modem transfer, it just 100% same as normal Z-modem.
  75.   For Faked Z-modem transfer, it will cheat the BBS.
  76.   You can see this Normal/Faked status on the Top-right corner on
  77. Gary-Z screen.

  82. 1. Gary-Z can ONLY receive a file, so please DON'T choose more than one
  83.    file to download at a time.

  88.    You should better use this program at mid-night after 2:00am, as some
  89. wise BBS Sysop may discover that you are cheating his BBS. Anyway, it
  90. is hard to discover.
