  11. Q: What is the EXE-mailing-list?
  12. A: The EXE-mailing-list is a mailing-list for EXE/COM - packers, protectors,
  13.    unpackers and detection-tools. All new stuff is send via this mailing-
  14.    mailing-list, e. g. HackStop, CrackStop, MESS, TEU, GTR, ChkEXE etc.
  15.    All things send via this list must be public releases.

  18. A: You can either use the form on my Homepage (http://www.xoom.com/hanno) or
  19.    you can write me an eMail at hanno@gmx.de.
  20.    If you want to leave the list or if your adress is changing, please inform
  21.    me also. I don't like it when there are adresses that are no longer valid.

  23. Q: What speech is used on the list?
  24. A: We only use English. Although there are many german users on the list, it
  25.    should be for everyone and English is the only worldwide known language.

  27. Q: How can I send stuff to the list?
  28. A: You must send your files to exe%hanno@mailings.gmx.net
  29.    You should use a common sending format, like MIME, UUEncoded or BASE64.
  30.    For the files you can use the common packing-formats ARJ, ZIP, LZH or RAR.
  31.    Or you can use SFX-files.

  33. Q: What should I write in the subject-line?
  34. A: You should begin your subject-line with "EXE: ". After that you should
  35.    write the name and version of the program you are sending. And maybe some
  36.    short important comments.

  38. Q: Should I only send things written by myself?
  39. A: No, if you've got something new written by someone else, you can also send
  40.    it.

  42. Q: How can I avoid replys from adresses that aren't valid?
  43. A: You can fix this problem by using an annonymous remailer, which will
  44.    delete the From:-adress in a mail.
  45.    To get a description of an annonymous remailer, send a mail to
  46.    remailer@cypherpunks.ca with subject "remailer-help".

  48. Q: May I also send debuggers and disassemblers?
  49. A: No, I don't think that they belong on this list. But anyway, I think many
  50.    people on this list are interested in this stuff, so you might send the
  51.    location of such programs in a short message.

  53. Q: Can I send requests for programs to the list?
  54. A: Normally the answer is no. If you are sending a file to the list, you can
  55.    write your request in the mail. But I don't like mails that are only send
  56.    because of a request.

  60. removed from the list. Sorry, but I have to keep this so strict.
