- WWVIR.EXE
-
- This program is able to detect ANY virus that has infected ANY WWPACKed
- executable file. WWVIR uses CRC technology. This means that it can find
- damaged files.
-
- How can I use it ?
-
- To check any EXE file enter this command:
- WWVIR FILENAME.EXE
-
- Of course you can use wildcards (to check more than one file) and paths.
-
- Example:
- Command WWVIR C:\UTILITY\*.EXE means:
- "check if there is any virus in any EXE file stored in C:\UTILITY
- directory, check if the files aren't damaged.".
-
- What is "autoexec mode" ?
-
- WWVIR recognizes two additional commands: 'A' and 'FA'.
- They were created to make WWVIR useful for autoexec.
-
- You can put to your AUTOEXEC.BAT something like this:
- WWVIR A C:\UTILITY\*.EXE
-
- Now WWVIR will automatically scan for viruses all EXE files stored in
- C:\UTILITY directory.
-
- What is the difference between the 'A' and 'FA' commands ?
-
- Command 'FA' is faster but it doesn't use CRC technology.
- 'A' is slower but it checks if the files aren't damaged too.
-
- Remember: WWVIR will detect a virus only on previously WWPACKed file(s) !
-
-
- EXEINFO.EXE
-
- This short program shows header information on EXE files.
-
- Example: EXEINFO YOURFILE.EXE
-
- Aditional options: EXEINFO may compare headers.
-
- Usage: EXEINFO FIRST.EXE SECOND.EXE
-
-
- End of the documentation file.
