  7. INTRODUCTION

  10.     AIN is a new archiver, in most cases superior to the known existing simi-
  11. lar products in respect of the data compression rate and  speed of operation.
  12. These advantages  become really obvious  when archiving large numbers of one-
  13. type files  (e.g.  files containing  source  texts  of a program's  different
  14. modules,  or  financial  documents  referring to various periods of company's
  15. activities). In  such  cases,  more often than not, it provides 1.5 - 2 times
  16. better  results than the  commonly used ARJ 2.42 and PKZIP 2.04c. See below
  17. comparisson results of AIN 2.2, ARJ 2.41 and PKZIP 2.04c which  has  features
  18. closest  to AIN 2.2, when processing files of different types.
  19.  
  20.     As  far as the  number  of  implemented  functions,  commands and options
  21. mnemonics are concerned, AIN 2.2. is very close to ARJ 2.30

  167. AIN is Shareware, and if you use AIN regularly we strongly
  168. encourage you to register it. As shareware, AIN was distributed
  169. freely in order to allow people to "test drive" it. The try-before-you-buy
  170. concept allows users to find out which programs are useful before
  171. purchasing them. If a is useful, please support it through registration.

  174. and update notices. Also the registered version do not display shareware
  175. banner screen.
