- VGA INFORMATION UNDER WINDOWS 3.1X AND WINDOWS 95
- =================================================
- The VGA Information program, GINFO.EXE, is designed primarily for
- use with Windows 95, but is backwardly compatible with 16-bit
- versions of Microsoft Windows. It does not support Windows NT.
-
- The sole purpose of GINFO.EXE is to report information about your
- graphics configuration (chipset, memory, driver etc.) which can
- assist technical support staff in isolating the cause of problems
- which may arise in using specific software.
-
- * Some graphics chipsets (e.g., IMS, 3Dlabs) do not properly report
- chipset and memory
- * Memory type, bus type, data bus size and BIOS version will be
- reported only if the chip vendor is S3, Cirrus Logic or Tseng Labs
- * VESA DPMS support refers to the capabilities of the graphics card
- only, not the monitor
- * VESA DDC support refers to the capabilities of graphics card,
- monitor, and cable
