  6. I tried to put as many as possible good features in 
  7. while keep the interface simple and neat.
  8.

  10. Features includes:

  12. Playback, rewind/forward, eject.
  13. Change playback position quickly with scroll bar.
  14. Switch between display of CD title, track title, and artist.
  15. Control left and right channel separately.
  16. Lock left and right channel together.
  17. Fast select desired track by clicking on the display.
  18. Set repeat mode, random mode, scan mode, and a-b repeat 
  19.     from the touch sensitive display.
  20. Edit CD title, track titles, and artist(s) and save them in
  21.     database.
  22. Make your own play lisy in program mode.
  23. Set autoplay mode and always on top mode from the menu.
  24. Control playback from the iconized program.
  25. Animating display for the action and play time.

  29. Installation:
  30.  
  31. Simply put cdapl.exe and cdapl.hlp in the same directory and 
  32. you are all set!
  33. The program will generate cdapl.ini, cdapl.tit, and cdapl.det
  34. in that directory. The later two are data files, you can edit
  35. them by hand if you want. But make sure there is at least one 
  36. entry in both file for a certain title.

  39. For Win95 users:
  40. Since cdapl.exe was built in Windows 3.11, the 
  41. system menu isn't working right in Win95. So I did a little 
  42. modification so you'll get the right menu when you click right 
  43. button on cdapl icon in the task bar.

  45. You can config your Win95 so this CDplayer instead of the built 
  46. in CD player will be automatically brought up when you insert 
  47. a CD into the CD drive.

  49. If you don't know how, here is how:
  50. Click start, select run and type REGEDIT. Click OK to run 
  51. registry editor. Use Find under menu item EDIT to search for 
  52. cdplayer.exe. Replace all "C:\WIN95\cdplayer.exe,1" with
  53. "C:\CDAPL\cdapl95.exe" where "C:\CDAPL" is the directory you
  54. put cdapl95.exe. If you use a diefferent name, replace C:\CDAPL
  55. with your actual path.

  57. If you are not sure about this, don't do it. You can always 
  58. close the built-in cdplayer after it's brought up and then run 
  59. CDAPL. If you do this, better remember the original settings 
  60. by writing them down so you can change them back later if you 
  61. don't like my cdplayer.
