  2. Windows 95 Display Driver Installation Instructions

  4.  1. Press the right button of mouse in the Windows 95 wallpaper area
  5.  2. Select "Properties"
  6.  3. Choose the "Settings" Tab in the "Display Properties" window
  7.  4. Select "Change Display Type"
  8.  5. Select "Change" in the "Adapter Type" section
  9.  6. Select "Have Disk"
  10.  7. In the "Install from Disk" window change the
  11.     "Copy manufacture's files from A:" to
  12.     "Copy manufacture's files from A:\WIN95"
  13.  8. Select "OK"
  14.  9. Select "OK" in the "Select Device" window
  15. 10. After all drivers are copied, select "Close" in the "Change Display Type"

  17. 11. Select "Apply" or "Close" in the "Display" window
  18. 12. Restart Windows 95

  20. Trouble Shooting:

  22.  Q: Use the Refresh Rate Control in the Display Property Sheet to switch
  23.     the display card to the high frequency (e.g.120Hz), and there is no
  24.     video in the monitor (Cause of the monitor does not support this
  25.     high frequency mode). After the PC is power off and then power on.
  26.     But the Windows 95 always set to the high frequency mode.
  27.     How can I change the display card back to the low frequency mode ?

  29.  A: Solution 1: Change the Windows 95 to the "Safe mode" and Re-Setup
  30.                 the Windows settings as the following steps:

  32.                 Step 1: Power on the PC
  33.                 Step 2: Press F5 to enter the "safe mode" or
  34.                         press F8 to enter the booting selection menu ans then
  35.                         select the "safe mode"
  36.                 Step 3: Run the "settings" in the Display Property
  37.                 Step 4: Select the mode your wanted
  38.                 Step 5: Select the "Apply" button
  39.                 Step 6: Restart the Windows 95

  41.     Solution 2: Change the Windows 95 to the "Safe mode" and Re-Install
