  1. 1. Purpose:
  2.    I wrote this program to enable the advanced features of the new
  3.    Cyrix 5x86 chips.  Cyrix 5x86 chips give outstanding results at a
  4.    very economical price.  Big Bang for the buck.

  7. 2. Files Included:

  9.        1.  SET5X86.EXE
  10.        2.  FREE5X86.EXE
  11.        3.  README.1ST

  14. 3. Usage:
  15.  
  16.       1. Make a directory to place the files in.
  17.       2. COPY file to the new directory.
  18.       3. RUN SET5X86.EXE to select options.
  19.       4. To configure chip on start-up place FREE5X86.EXE in your
  20.          autoexec.bat file.  See the following example:

  22.             C:
  23.             CD\YOURDIR
  24.             FREE5X86.EXE
  25.             CD\
  26.  
  27.           FREE5X86.EXE must be run from the directory that contains
  28.           the 5x86.cfg file that the SET5X86.EXE program creates.

  31.      **That is all there is to it.  No long command line options to
  32.      use or remember.  To reconfigure the options just go to the directory
  33.      where the program is installed and re-run SET5X86.EXE.

  51. money for this program since the only other program I can find to do
  52. this is in German or some other language that I can't read.
  53. This one was quickly written to enable the advanced features on
  54. my system so I thought I would share it with anyone who wants it.
