  16. 1. Maximum Recording Rates For Phone Blaster
  17.  
  18.    The sampling rate used for recording is largely influenced by your
  19.    computer's main  processor.  To obtain 16-bit digital audio using
  20.    Windows, the following maximum recording rates are suggested.

  36.    To obtain optimal performance, try  configuring the sound card to
  37.    use a high DMA (Direct Memory Access) channel under Windows.  Refer
  38.    to your Getting Started Manual for more information on setting up
  39.    the sound card to use a high DMA channel.

  42. 2. Mixer Settings For Phone Blaster
  43.  
  44.    To adjust the volume of the modem for Phone Blaster, run
  45.    CTMIXER.EXE (Creative Mixer) in Windows or SB16SET.EXE in DOS and
  46.    adjust the setting for PC Speaker.
  47.  
  48.    To obtain optimal performance when using the Speaker Phone mode,
  49.    run CTMIXER.EXE (Creative Mixer) in Windows or SB16SET.EXE in DOS
  50.    and turn off the MIC output.

  53. 3. VoiceView Modem Support in Microsoft Windows 95
  54.  
  55.    Microsoft Windows 95 supports VoiceView Modem in the form of a File
  56.    Transfer application.

  58.    To install:
  59.  
  60.    a) Double click the "Modems" applet in Control Panel.
  61.    b) Click the "Add..." button to add a new modem.
  62.    c) Select the option "Don't detect my modem; I will select it from
  63.       a list." and click the "Next >" button.
  64.    d) Select "VoiceView Modem Types" in the "Manufacturers:" list.
  65.    e) Select the respective model for your Phone Blaster in the
  66.       "Models" list and click the "Next >" button.
  67.    f) Select the communication port to use with your Phone Blaster and
  68.       click the "Next >" button.
  69.    g) Insert the appropriate Microsoft Windows 95 disks when
  70.       prompted.
  71.    h) Click the "Finish" button when your modem has been setup
