The File Clipboard automates the task of sending file names to remote systems. With the File Clipboard you can search through the PROCOMM PLUS scrollback buffer and collect file names. When you're finished collecting file names, you can send them to the remote system one at a time or as a list.

Now that we have a file list on the screen (and in the scrollback buffer) we can use the Search Up and Search Down buttons to navigate the list of files and pick out some file names to send to the remote system. While accessing the scrollback buffer via the File Clipboard, incoming information is stored until we either exit the scrollback buffer or close the File Clipboard.

Once we have file names in the File Clipboard, we can send them by selecting the Send button. When the Send button's selected, PROCOMM PLUS sends the selected file or list of files to the host system, following each file name with the File separator character. Some systems only allow you to send one file name at a time when you're receiving files, but, often, you may specify a list of files separated by commas, spaces or carriage returns.
