- Troubleshooting

- If you encounter problems after installation, one of the following
- may provide a solution.
-
- 1. Ensure that cables are properly connected and that all plugs
- are firmly seated in their sockets.
- 2. The default Video I/O port, Audio I/O port, IRQ Usage, DMA
- Channel are:
- Video I/O Port: 260H-26FH
- Audio I/O Port: 2A0H-2AFH, 6A6H-6A7H
- IRQ Usage: Audio/Video IRQ 10
- DMA Channel: Channel 6
- In the event of a conflict with other add-on cards, please run
- the Setup program to change the settings.
- 3. You must power off and power on your computer for a new I/O
- port address to take effect.
- 4. Some CD-ROM drives (such as Wearnes CDD-220) will not work in
- the Windows when the following lines were not set correctly in
- the [386Enh] section of your Windows SYSTEM.INI:
- [386Enh]
- ...
- 32BitDiskAccess=off
- VirtualHDIRQ=off
- ...
- 5. You can not play Video CD/CD-i Movie, when you use Microsoft
- SMARTDRV.EXE to cache the CD-ROM drive. Modify the
- AUTOEXEC.BAT as following:
- ...
- C:\DOS\SMARTDRV.EXE /U
- ...
- 6. If you use EMM386.EXE driver, and give the wrong parameter.
- You will find many color mosaic when playing MPEG video.
- Modify the CONFIG.SYS as following:
- ...
- C:\WINDOWS\EMM386.EXE noems
- ...
- 7. If you use MSCDEX.EXE version 2.95 under Windows 95, you can not
- play CD-i Movie.
