  26. The SmartDesk Virtual Machine is a binary collection of programs, libraries,
  27. and utilities designed to enhance the Windows environment.  Once installed,
  28. the VM provides:

  56. SECTION 2 - System Requirements

  75. SECTION 3 - Installation

  78. The SmartDesk Virtual Machine is provided as a downloadable self-extracting
  79. file which has been compressed using PKWARE's PKZIP v2.04g and ZIP2EXE v2.04g.
  80. The current release file information is:

  82.     SDVM32.EXE dated December 3, 1997
  83.  
  84. To install:
  85.  
  86.     1. Copy the SDVM32.EXE file to a temporary directory.
  87.  
  88.     2. Uncompress the contents by running the SDVM31.EXE program.
  89.  
  90.     3. Run the VMSETUP.EXE program which decompressed into the temporary
  91.        directory. This can likewise be done from the command prompt of
  92.        Windows 95 and NT 4.x, or from the RUN menu item of Program Manager.
  93.  
  94.     After the VM installs, the VMSTATUS program will automatically be
  95.     launched.  It is not necessary to restart windows.  By default, the VM
  96.     will not automatically load when Windows is started.  You can set the
  97.     VM to AUTOLOAD when Windows starts via the OPTIONS portion of the
  98.     VMSTATUS program.

  100.     The VM installer adds the following items to the SmartDesk program group
  101.     within the Windows program manager:

  222. SECTION 8 - Uninstalling

  225. The SmartDesk VM can be running the SDUNSTL.EXE program in the WINDOWS 
  226. directory will also access the uninstaller.
  227.  
  228. A password to remove the VM is required only if one was setup via the
  229. VMSTATUS program.  In such event, the password must be entered before the
  230. uninstaller will remove the VM.
  231.  
  232. After uninstalling, it is recommended (though not required) that Windows be
  233. restarted.
