- Driver: WDCIDEN4.DSK
- O/S: NetWare 4.01
- Version: 1.0
- Size: 17,093
-
- Features:
-
- 1. Supports DMA for WDC Drives as command line Option.
- 2. Supports Block mode by Defalut for WDC drives.
- 3: Autodetect of current blocking factor to support systems that enable block
- mode at system boot. Allows user to change blocking factor using /B
- switch and will restore blocking factor to value detected at entry to
- provide safe return to DOS mode from Novell server operating system.
-
-
-
- Command Line Swithces:
-
- 1. /DT=F OR B ----- DMA Type F OR B, default is type B
-
- 2. /B=16 ------ User defined Block Mode, see feature 3 above
-
- 3. /DSG ------ DMA Scatter Gather Enabled, default is disabled
-
-
- Option Prompts:
-
- Port:
-
- IRQ:

- DMA:

-
- NOTE: /DSG Option should not be used with EISA Systems. Do not enable
- this option unless you know your system supports scatter/gather
- DMA operation correctly. Early versions of the Intel PCI chip
- set have problems with the DMA scatter/gather which may cause
- driver failures. EISA/PCI and ISA/PCI systems with corrected
- scatter/gather hardware may take advantage of this option.
-
- Block Mode support:
- ===================
-
-
- For WDC Drives Block mode is supported by defalut. For Any other drives
- Block mode option is needed to Set Block mode. If Used as "/B" Drive defined
- Block size will be used. If Defined as /B=XX where XX is Block size then
- SAME User defined Block size will be used for Block mode operation on the IDE
- cable.
