  4. This release contains the MGA DOS CAD Drivers and Utilities for the
  5. MGA Millennium graphic controllers.

  7. The following products are included:

  9.    Utilities and Setup program
  10.    AutoCAD DynaView Driver for Releases 11, 12, 13 and 3D Studio
  11.    MicroStation 5.0 Driver
  12.  
  13. Windows 3.1 drivers and other Windows utilities are available through the MGA
  14. PowerDesk disks.
  15.  
  16. Windows NT and OS/2 PM drivers are available separately.

  23. Setup and Utilities:
  24. -------------------

  26. - Setup program v1.02
  27.   Running the SETUP program to select a monitor is highly recommended,
  28.   particularly if your monitor does not support all the resolutions that
  29.   the board supports.
  30.   Note that if you select a monitor through the new Windows Monitor
  31.   Program included with PowerDesk, the selection is also valid for
  32.   AutoCAD DOS driver, so the DOS Setup program does not need to be used.

  34. - FNT8X14.COM
  35.   The 8x14 font has been removed from the video bios as of revision 838-3.
  36.   This was done, as per VESA recommendations, in order to make room for
  37.   VESA Bios features such as VBE2.0 and VBE/DDC.
  38.   Should the removal of this font cause problems with any application
  39.   you are running, it can be installed by running the FNT8X14.COM TSR
  40.   program. To do this, simply type c:\mga\setup\fnt8x14.

  43. AutoCAD Driver v1.02:
  44. --------------------

  46. - AutoCAD R13 Support
  47.   AutoCAD R13 is supported. Dynaview/3D also works with R13 with
  48.   exception that it cannot render the newly introduced 3D solids.

  50. - DynaView/3D
  51.   DynaView/3D is supported on the MGA Millennium family.
  52.   Keep in mind that 3D solids in R13 are not supported by Dynaview/3D.

  54. - 3D Studio
  55.   3D Studio 3 and 4 are supported.

  57. - AutoCAD for Windows:
  58.   The AutoCAD for Windows driver is available on the PowerDesk disks. It
  59.   accelerates AutoCAD for Windows Rel 12 and 13 by directly utilizing 
  60.   the MGA hardware, and comes with a Bird's Eye / Spy Glass viewer callable
  61.   from the Autodesk DSVIEWER command.

  64. - DynaView/3D for Windows:
  65.   This application (like AutoCAD for Windows) is available on the PowerDesk
  66.   disks. It allows real-time manipulation of 3D models created under 
  67.   AutoCAD for Windows. Note that if the current windows mode,as selected via
  68.   the MGA control panel, is not a 3D mode then DynaView/3D will be limited
  69.   to wireframe.

  76. - MicroStation 5.0 Only
  77.   MicroStation driver supplied supports MicroStation 5.0 only.

  86.   The driver also supports single screen (with or without swap screen), dual

  88.   Note that if you use the MicroStation Windows Connection with a dual-MGA
  89.   configuration, the Windows Connection driver MUST run on the MGA board
  90.   which has its VGA enabled.
