Registry of Users Version 1.3 is a way for users to get to know each other
better. You will be asked a series of questions that were set up by your sysop.
You can then create your registry by answering these questions. After it
is created, all other validated users on the BBS can view your registry.
Hopefully, this will allow users to get to know each other better because
they can easily find out about each other. But remember, don't put
anything in your registry that you don't want viewed by just anyone. For
example, if it asks for your phone number, you don't HAVE to give your
phone number, only if you want to.
There are two ways to use the registry. The first is by pressing the '$'
key at the main menu. This will display the Registry Main Menu, allowing
you to access the functions that will be described below. This is a
versatile section allowing many things to be done. Most of the commands should
be self-explanatory.
The second and probably most useful aspect is that you can use the
registry when scanning a message base. So for example, if you just read a
message, you can press the '$' key and the registry of that user will be
displayed. Anonymous user's registries will not be displayed, nor will the
registries of users from other BBSs (if you are on a net.)
