Changes for Space Dynasty 3.03
------------------------------
(1) bug fix - When you tried to bomb an enemy food supply, you forfeited
all other covert operations on that turn. This has been corrected.
(2) Bomb Military HQ - You can now try to bomb an enemy military headquarters
in the "Plant a Bomb" covert operation, possibly killing as many as 140
enemy generals.
(3) DYNASTY.ANS, an optional ANSI file which will be displayed at the start
of the game, has never been displayed properly. This is due to COMMON.PAS
which was not written to display ANSIs. This has been fixed.
(4) net stuff - Fixed all reported problems with net programs, and optimized
them into .COM files instead of .EXE files. Problems were:
- WRITESD always created a message of type 57310 no matter what type you
said to use. The message type has been added to DYNASTY.CFG, and WRITESD
now uses that message type properly. SDINSTAL was also adjusted for
this fix.
- Two people reported a "Memory allocation error" during the net programs.
This does not appear to be caused by my programs, just that WWIV has
run out of heap space, due to some mod or program. Nevertheless, I
fixed READSD and WRITESD to use static memory instead of dynamic to
avoid this problem in the future.

Changes for Space Dynasty 3.02
------------------------------
(1) Intergalactic Actions - If you are connected to WWIVNet, you can send
messages, supplies, and attacks to other boards running SD 3.02. You must
subscribe to (or host) a special message base for transmitting this data.
(If you are not on WWIVNet you will still be able to play as usual.)
(2) Query Allied Support - Using this new diplomatic option, you can find out
how many troops and fighters your allies will send if you are attacked.
(3) Bombs - You can now try to bomb your enemy's food supply as well as his
embassies.
(4) bug fix - Previously, old alliances were maintained even after a player
had been deleted, and new players inherited the old allies even though it
appeared to them that they had a clean slate. This has been fixed.
(5) new gfile - There is now a file DYNASTY.SCO which contains the current
scoreboard, for use as a Gfile.

Changes for Space Dynasty 3.01
------------------------------
There was a bug in Space Dynasty 3.00 which prevented people from buying
planets, or possibly buying more than one planet. Space Dynasty 3.01 was
released mere days after 3.00.
------------------------------
Changes for Space Dynasty 3.00
------------------------------
The major change implemented in this version is that the game is now
configurable by the sysop. This required a restructuring of the game
database, thus the change in version numbers. If you want to continue
a game that you are running now, you will need to update your files with
CONVERT.EXE; see SYSOP.DOC for further details.
A sysop utility is now available to those who have registered the game that
can significantly change the way the game is played.
For instance, you can start the game with a million credits and a million
planets if the sysop sets it up that way. The sysop utility is a vast
improvement over the freeware version that has been circulating with Space
Dynasty 2.xx. It lets you edit all player names (including The Radoffian
Dynasty) and to find out who each player really is. The sysop utility will
run over the modem, unlike the old one which only ran locally.
I will be happy to take suggestions about additional features that should be
added to this utility in the future.
--------------------------------------------
There were also numerous minor changes and bug fixes to the game, including:
(1) Maximum planets that can be purchased at once : 999.
(2) Players are no longer automatically deleted after 10 days, they are
deleted only if somebody else wants to play and needs their spot.
(3) If somebody you are not allied with sends you troops, you are asked if you
want to accept them or not. Allies can still send you piles of troops.
(4) The Radoffian Dynasty no longer lets you hoard food if the store is empty.
(5) Used to be if you typed 99999* (or any bad characters after a number) it
was taken to be zero. Now trailing bad characters are ignored.
(6) You can now abort when the game lists all the players by hitting the space
bar.
(7) Mail messages can now be up to five lines long.
(8) No duplicate names are allowed. Nobody can use the same exact name you
are using.
That's about it. Fixed a couple of bugs, you don't have to see the covert
menu over and over all the time, and you can convert more than one planet at a
time now.
--------------------------------------------
Future Releases:
There will probably be a couple of updates to this version in 1991, minor
bug fixes and enhancements. I have recently learned new information about
WWIVNet which may allow me to do things more efficiently; if so, there will
be a SD 4.0 which will operate a bit differently.
I would like to add support for a fossil driver, and redesign the message
bases to allow anonymous messages, and messages to ALL, but I cannot say
when I will have time to do this.
