  8. helpMATIC Pro is a Windows 95 help authoring tool that 
  9. allows you to create Windows help files without all the 
  10. low level programming required by conventional methods.

  30. Requirements :

  33.  1) PC capable of running Windows95.
  34.  
  35.  2) Microsoft Help Compiler 32bit, version 4 or greater.
  36.     helpMATIC Pro needs the Windows Help Compiler to compile
  37.     the help files. helpMATIC Pro does not come with this because
  38.     the help compiler is not freely distributable software. 
  39.     However, the help compiler is shipped with versions of
  40.     Microsoft Visual Basic, Microsoft Visual C++,
  41.     and most other programming languages.
  42.  
  43.  3) Visual Basic 5 run time DLL, MSVBVM50.DLL
  44.     To keep the size of the helpMATIC Pro file set down it was
  45.     decided not to distribute the Visual Basic 5 run time dll
  46.     with the program files. The main reason for this was to 
  47.     shorten download times as the file is nearly 1.5Mb in size.
  48.     There is a good chance that you may already have this file
  49.     on your system because it is distributed with a large number of
  50.     applications and shareware programs. Follow these simple steps
  51.     check whether or not you have a copy of the file on your computer :

  53.     If you have got Microsoft Visual Basic 5 installed on your computer 
  54.     then you have the file.
  55.  
  56.     otherwise:
  57.  
  58.     1) Click on the Windows 'Start' button and select 'Find', 
  59.        'Files or Folders...'
  60.     2) Type 'msvbvm50.dll' and click on 'Find Now'
  61.     3) If the file is found it will be listed, if not then 
  62.        you will need to download a copy.

  69. Installation :
  70. --------------

  72. helpMATIC Pro comes with a setup program that will install and setup
  73. helpMATIC Pro on your computer. To begin the setup program :
  74.  
  75.  1) Select 'Run' from the Windows Start menu.
  76.  2) If you received helpMATIC Pro on disk, then :
  77.  
  78.     Type the drive letter of the disk containing the helpMATIC Pro
  79.     files, followed by ':setup.exe', and press enter.    
  80.  
  81.     or, if you downloaded helpMATIC Pro from the Internet, then :
  82.  
  83.     Type the full path to the unzipped helpMATIC Pro files
  84.     and type \setup.exe.

  117. The file CTL3D32.DLL is only copied to your system if you are
  118. using Windows NT 3.51. It is not needed for Windows95 or 
  119. Windows NT 4.

  123. VB5 = Standard run time files required by 
  124.       Visual Basic 5 programs.
  125.  
  126. Setup = Files required by the setup program only.
  127.  
  128. Prog dir = Directory where helpMATIC Pro is installed.
  129.  
  130. OLE = Windows files required for OLE.
  131.  
  132. Files without destination entries are not installed on your
  133. system.

  140. Uninstalling :
  141. --------------
  142.  
  143. helpMATIC Pro comes with an uninstall program that will
  144. remove all files installed during helpMATIC Pro setup.

  146.  1) Goto the control panel and select 'Add/Remove programs'
  147.  2) Click on the helpMATIC Pro entry in the application list
  148.  3) Click on 'Add/Remove'
