  11. News Rover is an automated agent to download and decode Usenet newsgroup
  12. messages.  News Rover automatically scans selected newsgroups, downloads
  13. messages that match your criteria, decodes binary file attachments (both
  14. UUencoded and MIME base64), eliminates duplicates and spam, and reconstructs
  15. file attachments that are split across multiple messages.  News Rover does all
  16. of this automatically, so you can leave it running while you are sleeping or
  17. at work.  When you are ready to read the messages and view attached files,
  18. they are ready for instant access on your computer.

  20. News Rover has a "picture gallery" feature that displays thumbnail size images
  21. of pictures that it has extracted from messages.  You can click on a picture
  22. to view the full-size image; you can also save pictures, repost them, or
  23. forward them via e-mail to others.

  25. In addition to scanning Usenet newsgroups, News Rover also allows you to post
  26. messages (optionally with file attachments).  You can also use News Rover to
  27. send private e-mail messages.  This makes it easy to reply to messages either
  28. by posting a public response to newsgroups or by sending a private e-mail
  29. message to the originator.

  31. You can specify elaborate Include and Exclude expressions to select messages.
  32. These expressions can include words, phrases and the AND, OR, NEAR and NOT
  33. operators.  You can also use parentheses.
