- Well...
-
- So you have your fabulous sample ripper now but don't know what to do?
-
- Hmm, try the following:
-
- SOUNDRIP File_Name_Of_Your_DOOM_Main_Wad_File
-
- The main WAD file needn't be DOOM.WAD. It may be DOOM2.WAD, too. I guess the
- Heretic main WAD should work too. But it should contain any lump entries whose
- name starts with DS (in DOOM, the SB samples' names start with DS).
-
- All my program does is dig up all these nice little entries and collect them in
- a patch WAD file so you can load another sample set every time you start DOOM.
-
- You should also have some replacement sample set for DOOM (you know, the stuff
- that uses DMAUD to change your samples in the main WAD directly) since you
- should already have something in your main WAD that's worth ripping.
-
- The ripped samples are always placed in a patch WAD file called 'SAMPLES.WAD'.
- If you want it to have another name, rename it yourself!
-
- If I have nothing to do some time, I will maybe code a program that combines
- DMAUD and SOUNDRIP: take your favourite WAV, VOC, SMP etc. files and write
- them into a patch WAD!
-
- Good luck and have a nice DOOM!
