- INVISO DEH
- TIMEBOMB DEH
-
- Inviso:
- All Players are invisible. Does not seem to work in single player mode.
- Has had no multiplayer testing. Shouldn't have any bugs...
- I thought about making weapons fire invisible, too. But that would have made
- DeathMatch unplayable. Same as the invisibility sphere; vague shimmering
- should be seen. Please test this and let me know if it works. All
- participants should have this, or it will either fail to work, or generate
- consistency errors. (Probably the former. Might even make your opponents
- invisible, but not you if only you have this patch.)
-
- TimeBomb:
- Be careful about attacking your opponent at point blank range. He has
- swallowed vast amounts of NITROGLYCERIN! The resulting explosion could
- be devastating. Thought about making all player attacks kamikaze exploders,
- but just thinking about it makes me ill...
- Doesn't seem to work in single player mode. No multiplayer testing.
- DEFINATELY this patch must be used by all DeathMatch participants, or errors
- will occur.
-
- Fworks:
- Bullet puffs and blood splats become rocket explosions. Particularly nasty
- with a shotgun at long range as it SATURATES the area with high explosive
- munitions. Has received EXTENSIVE testing in single player mode.
- Known bugs: None. Possible bugs: Getting blown into ground beef.
- Make sure that ALL participants in DM have this as the patch will likely
- cause a consistency error if you don't.
-
- Twitch:
- This replaces the generic dead body with a Marine-On-A-Stick (twitching)
- It is USELESS for single player mode as it is only created when a player is
- killed. It has received minimal testing in DeathMatch, and has no known bugs.
- It produced no consistency errors in it's only test run. Can be used by as
- many participants as want to. The only effect of your opponent not using the
- patch is that they cannot see the cool twitching bodies. Mostly Harmless.
-
- Firbal01:
- Your rocket has been replaced by the Revenant Fireball. It will leave
- behind a smoke trail like that weapon does. Likewise, it does slightly less
- damage than the rocket. I left it like that to give the target more time
- to appreciate the beautiful smoke trail. Has received extensive single player
- testing, and one accidental Deathmatch test. The DM test resulted in a
- consistency error. This was (probably) because the other players did not have
- the patch, and the added sprites (smoke trail) existed on my machine only.
- Should be safe to use as long as ALL participants use this patch.
-
- Firbal02:
- Identical to FIRBAL02, except that the rocket sprite is invisible, leaving
- only the smoke trail visible. This had an unanticipated (but interesting)
- effect in that the explosion was ALSO invisible! Should be safe to use as
- long as all participants use this patch. (please note that just because you
- can't see the rocket doesn't mean that it won't blow the spit out of you
- when it hits you...)
-
- Barrel1:
- This was my first attempt at a respawning barrel. (IE the barrel comes back
- to life when it explodes.) Unfortunately, the barrel cannot be targeted or
- harmed after it respawns. This is due the fact that the barrel is dead
- already. I am forced to conclude that a respawning barrel will not be
- possible at this time. Feel free to fool around with this; maybe you can
- get it to work. No point at this time in using this in actual play.
-
- Barrel2:
- Re-Exploding barrels. Barrels will explode ad infinitum; ad nauseum.
- Once detonated, they will keep exploding forever. And keep hurting you, too.
- Has received some testing in single player mode. Known bugs: Whenever I
- get too close to one of these, the explosion kills me. No, wait. That isn't
- a bug, that's stupidity... An interesting thought occurs to me. If this
- were to be done with a player's exploding death, would he then be able to
- walk around the battlefield spraying his horrified opponents with offal?
- Would this walking time bomb be able to to kill people by cornering them
- till they die? Probably not, but it would make for an interesting project.
- As before, this SHOULD be safe to use in multiplayer as long as everyone
- has the patch.
-
- Homer:
- This was an attempt to replace the rocket with a cruise missile. Essentially
- it works by replacing the rocket frames with the frames for the Lost Soul.
- This has the effect of causing it to BEHAVE like a lost soul, except that
- it's attack is to explode near a player. The sprites for the frames were then
- changed to that of a rocket. It should work by attacking any visible players.
- (Nice weapon to have when no other players are around, eh?)
- It has received extensive testing in single player mode, but the bugs will
- not die. It has had no multiplayer testing of any kind. Feel free to try it
- in DeathMatch mode and report any bugs to me. If you are a glutton for
- punishment, use it in single player mode or cooperative mode.
- Known bugs include the rocket turning around to face you but making no
- attempt to reverse it's direction and attack. It frequently explodes before
- leaving the launcher and warps in and out of existence as it flies along.
- It has locked up the game on occasion, so think about that before trying it
- in DeathMatch. By using HOMER.DEH patch, you are a beta tester.
