  8. Please make sure you have the following memory available:

  10. 581K Conventional Memory
  11. 2.7M Expanded Memory

  13. Refer to your DOS manual for information on memory managment.

  15. If you use the QEMM memory manager, there are a couple of
  16. problems that you should be aware of. 
  17.  
  18. 1. You should avoid using the STEALTH configuration. This mode 
  19.    is known to cause problems with Master of Magic. You should
  20.    remove the ST:M or ST:F switch from your QEMM386.SYS command 
  21.    line and then re-optimize. If need help doing this you can
  22.    consult Quarterdeck Office Systems Tech Support at
  23.    (310) 392-9701 from 5:30am to 3:30pm EST.

  25. 2. It is not recommended that you use Microsoft's SMARTDRV.EXE or
  26.    SMARTDRV.SYS with the QEMM memory manager.

  32. There have been many changes to the game since the printing of
  33. the manual. Master of Magic contains an online help system that
  34. reflects these changes. To access the online help, you can
  35. right-click specific portions of the game screen.

  38. Sound Troubleshooting

  41. If you use a SoundBlaster sound card, you must have your BLASTER 
  42. environment variable correctly SET.
  43.  
  44. If you use a SoundBlaster sound card that is set to IRQ 10, you
  45. may experience problems. Try configuring your card for a lower IRQ.
  46.  
  47. If you use a Pro Audio Spectrum card, you must have the MVSOUND.SYS 
  48. driver properly installed.
  49.  
  50. If you use a Roland or General MIDI sound card, you may experience 
  51. some delays when starting Master of Magic. These cards require a 
  52. short initialization period.

  54. If you use a Roland or General MIDI sound card, you may need to turn
  55. your machine off and then back on when changing settings in the 
  56. INSTALL program.
