- USING SETVESA.EXE
-
- The SETVESA utility is being provided as a service to help users install
- a VESA driver on their system. VESA drivers allow your system to display
- high-resolution graphics when using software such as Links386Pro. More
- information about VESA drivers and Super-VGA graphics is available from
- within the utility. Please feel free to distribute this SETVESA utility
- to others. We only ask that no modification be made to the software or
- documentation without permission from Access Software.
-
- The SETVESA utility is distributed as an LHArc self-extracting archive:
- VESALIB.EXE (archiver is LHARC version 2.10, written by Haruyasu
- Yoshizaki). You will need to decompress the archive before using the
- program.
-
- To use the SETVESA utility, first create a directory for the program.
- For example:
- MD \TEST [enter]
-
- Change to the new directory:
-
- CD \TEST [enter]
-
- Next, copy the archive program into the newly created directory. For
- example:
- COPY A:VESALIB.EXE [enter]
-
- Now, create the VESA library by decompressing the archive. This will
- place several files in the \TEST directory and create several sub-
- directories as well. Type:
-
- VESALIB [enter]
-
- You may now run the SETVESA utility by typing:
-
- SETVESA [enter]
-
- On-line help is available from most menus in the program, and will guide
- you through the VESA driver installation process.
