- CRISIS IN THE KREMLIN READ ME FILE
- Version 1.0 May 8, 1992
-
- The following changes and additions have been made to CRISIS
- IN THE KREMLIN since the manual went to press:
-
- P. 12. The game package actually contains five 1.2MB 5.25" disks
- or four 1.44MB 3.5" disks. There is also a Strategy Grid card to
- update the grids on pp. 53-55.
-
- P. 18. The manual says you can personalize your logbook with a
- name up to 13 letters long. Actually, the longest name you can use
- is 9 letters long.
-
- P. 19. The manual says you will be called upon to announce your
- initial policies during an inauguration speech immediately after you
- personalize your logbook. As the game now stands, you are not
- formally asked to review your policies until May Day of your first
- year (although you may choose to reset the policies at any time).
-
- P. 23. Another choice has been added to the "Options" submenu:
- "Animations." This toggles some of the animated sequences (such
- as the hand reaching for the crisis phone) on and off. The game
- will progress a little faster with the animation off, and it will use up
- less of the computer's memory.
-
- PP. 53-55. The strategy grids on these pages have been updated.
- See the Strategy Grid card enclosed with this game.
-
- If you want to delete all your saved games from the computer's
- memory, go to the DOS prompt, make sure the computer is in the
- proper directory, and enter DEL *.INS. For general advice on
- deleting files, see your DOS manual.
-
- You will need to increase the size of your `stacks' command in your
- config.sys to 8,512. If you do not already have a stacks command in
- your config.sys, add a line that looks like this: STACKS = 8,512.
-
- There are no digitized voice-overs in the game, despite what the
- box says.
