Sympathy is an editor for crossword grids, with support for all puzzle types, including barred cryptics. The crossword setter can use Sympathy in place of pencil and paper for the construction of the grid: thematic words can be placed into the grid, then moved around to their ideal positions and surrounded with slots for non-thematic words.
