- ****************** Napoleon Solitaire 1.0.1 *********************
-
- -- IMPORTANT NOTICE --
-
- This program requires the file VBRUN300.DLL in your \windows\system
- directory. This file is probably available from the same place
- that you found this program. In fact, since many programs require
- this file, you may already have it.
-
- -- INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS --
-
- Method 1 (Easy Method) - Place all the files in the NAPSOL1.ZIP
- in the same directory. The name of the directory does not matter.
-
- Method 2 (Harder Method) - Place the files NAPSOL.EXE,
- NAPSOL.HLP, FILE_ID.DIZ, README.1ST, and VENDOR.DOC in the same
- directory. The file QCARD.DLL can go in the same directory with
- the other files or in the \Windows directory. The file CMDIALOG.VBX
- can go in the same directory with the other files or in the
- \Windows\System directory (You may already have a copy of this
- file. If you have a newer version already in your \Windows\System
- directory, don't replace it with the version in this package). The
- advantage to this method is that you can save hard drive space if you
- have other programs that use CMDIALOG.VBX or QCARD.DLL.
-
- -- RUNNING THE PROGRAM --
-
- To run the games, run the file NAPSOL.EXE.
-
- -- RESOLUTION ISSUES --
-
- Some games in this collection will not run at certain resolutions.
- 3 games (Little Napoleon, Congress, and Diplomat) will run in any
- Windows resolution. One game (Limited) requires at least a resolution
- of 1024x768. The other 6 games will run in a resolution of 800x600 or
- higher. When creating your own games with the Game Wizard, note that
- the minimum resolution of the game depends on the number of Tableau
- piles. If the game has 8 Tableau piles, it will run in any resolution
- (including 640x480). If 9 or 10 Tableau piles, it needs at least
- 800x600. If 11 or 12, it needs 1024x768. If 13, it needs 1280x1024.
-
- -- IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM --
-
- If the program doesn't run, most likely there is a DLL conflict with
- the file QCARD.DLL. Napoleon Solitaire requires the version of
- QCARD.DLL dated 2/15/94. There are other programs that use a different
- version of this DLL. If another version of QCARD.DLL exists in your
- /Windows directory, this can cause Napoleon Solitaire not to run.
- If you have other problems, contact the author at Tomstaaf1@aol.com.
