  11. Mah Jongg v3.51 is provided with an install program that will install the
  12. program and associated utilities onto your hard disk or floppy disks. If
  13. you are installing onto 360k floppy disks you will need one formatted disk
  14. for Mah Jongg itself and a second formatted disk if you also want to 
  15. install the Tile Maker utility.

  17. To install Mah Jongg, just put the distribution diskette into your drive,
  18. attach to that drive (i.e., type "a:" and hit the enter key, if you are
  19. using the a: drive) and then type "install xx", where xx is the drive and
  20. directory where you want Mah Jongg installed.  For example, to install
  21. onto your B: drive, type "install b:"; to install into the \games
  22. directory on your C: drive, type "install c:\games".

  24. If you want to install manually, please read the following:

  26. In order to fit everything on one diskette, the TileMaker utility
  27. along with the default Mah Jongg tiles (MAHJONGG.TIL) and another set
  28. of tiles, Flags of the World #1 (FLAGS.TIL, FLAGS.TXT) have been
  29. stored in a compressed format.

  31. To uncompress them you will need about 180k bytes of free disk space.
  32. Copy the file "TILES.EXE" to the diskette or hard disk directory where
  33. you want to store the utilities.  Then, run the file by typing "tiles"
  34. at the command line.  "TILES.EXE" is a self-extracting archive and it
  35. will extract the files from itself automatically once you give the
  36. command.

  38. When this process is complete, you will no longer need the file TILES.EXE
  39. so it can be deleted.
