  1. Directions for Installing US Service Pack 3:
  2.  
  3. - Download the files from the appropriate sub-directory (alpha or i386).
  4.  
  5. - There are two ways to install the Service Pack (Intel platform used for 
  6.   this example):
  7.    1) Type "nt4sp3_i" to expand and install the Service Pack directly 
  8.       onto the machine.
  9.    2) Type "nt4sp3_i /x" to expand the Service Pack files into a directory 
  10.       of your choice.
  11.       From the chosen directory, type "update" to install the Service Pack.
  12.  
  13. - To install the Service Pack symbols (Intel platform used for this example):
  14.    - Type "nt4sym3i".
  15.    - Choose the directory to which the symbol files should be copied.
  16.      (C:\WINNT\SYMBOLS would be the default choice.)
