  20. <LI>1/2 cup sugar</LI>
  21. <LI>1 egg, beaten</LI>
  22. <LI>1 teaspoon vanilla</LI>
  23. <LI>1/2 cup chopped walnuts</LI>
  24. <LI>1/2 pound semi-sweet chocolate chips</LI>

  28. <LI>Pre-heat oven to 350° F.</LI>
  29. <LI>Sift the baking soda, the flour, and the salt together.</LI>
  30. <LI>Cream the butter, sugar, and brown sugar together. </LI>
  31. <LI>Add egg and vanilla.</LI>
  32. <LI>Beat thoroughly.</LI>
  33. <LI>Add the sifted dry ingredients.</LI>
  34. <LI>Fold in the nuts and chocolate chips.</LI>
  35. <LI>Grease a cookie sheet.</LI>
  36. <LI>Drop cookies from a teaspoon onto cookie sheet.</LI>
