Q: How do I change the default font or default zoom level?
To achieve that, you just have to edit TextMaker's default document template.
Proceed as follows:
Call up
File > Open
In the
File type
list, choose
Template
In the files list, tap on the file
Normal.tmv
and tap on
Adjust the zoom level to the desired value.
Call up
Format > Character Style
, tap on
, and select the desired font.
Save the document with
File > Save
From now on, all documents you create will have the zoom level and font you selected above.
Q: How do I set the language for the spell-checker?
To set the default language, call up
Extras > Preferences
, and select the desired
Default language
on the
Language
tab.
Additionally, you can set the language of any parts of the document to a different language. To do so, highlight that passage in the document, call up
Format > Character
, and set the option
Language
to the desired language.
Usually, this option is set to
Standard
, which means that the spell-checker uses the default language. If you choose e.g. German, that part of the document will be spell-checked in German instead
