  7. The following installation scheme is designed for inexperienced users.
  8.  It avoids configuration problems by using a pre-configured Xserver
  9. (VGA) and window manager (icewm).  13mb of HD space is needed for the
  10. installation.

  12. You need six packages from Slackware 7.1 <slack71.htm>:   *xbin*,
  13. *xcfg*, *xfnts*, *xlib*, *xvg16* and *xpm*.  All of them are in the
  14. */slakware/x1* directory.  You also need bl2-x <bl2-x.tgz> a special
  15. package for BasicLinux.   All seven packages are installed using the
  16. Slackware package manager:

  19. installpkg xcfg.tgz
  20. installpkg xfnts.tgz
  21. installpkg xlib.tgz
  22. installpkg xvg16.tgz
  23. installpkg xpm.tgz
  24. installpkg bl2-x.tgz

  27. This provides 640x480x16 resolution.  To get better resolution, you will
  28. need to replace the generic *xvg16* with the specific Xserver for your
  29. video card (this may require complex configuration).  You should also
  30. consider adding 100-dpi fonts (*xf100.tgz*) and scaled fonts (*xfscl.tgz*).

  33. _Freecell_
  34. xfreecell is a clone of the solitare game popularized by Windows 95.   A
  35. version for BasicLinux is available here <bl1/xfreecell.tgz>.  It takes
  36. less than 1mb of HD space.
