- ConfigSafe Version 3.0
- ---------------------------
-
- ConfigSafe lets you quickly resolve problems by:
-
- - Identifying changes to your Registry, INI Files,
- System Asset Files, System Hardware, Network Connections,
- and operating system software versions.
- - Restoring a system to a previously working configuration
- in just seconds.
-
- ConfigSafe Basics:
- 1. Take a snapshot of your configuration before and after
- making any major changes to your system.
- 2. If your system is no longer functioning properly, use
- the Restore function to return your system to a previously
- working configuration by selecting the appropriate Snapshot
- from the Restore Snapshot list.
-
- PRODUCT FEATURES
- All ConfigSafe version 3.0 products include a new
- feature called Install Guard. Install Guard automatically protects systems
- from potential conflicts that may occur after new software or hardware
- installations. Install Guard works by detecting most software setup programs
- and the 'Add New Hardware' setup option within Windows. When it detects one
- of these situations, Install Guard prompts users to take a Snapshot. ConfigSafe's
- Install Guard feature can also be set up to take a Snapshot without prompting the user.
- That way users never have to remember to take a Snapshot before making a
- change - ConfigSafe does it for them.
-
- The Install Guard Manager is accessed from the Start/Programs/ConfigSafe menu.

-
- ConfigSafe Desktop Edition

- critical system information, the ConfigSafe Desktop Edition provides
- the ability to create and edit multiple configuration profiles. This
- allows you to snapshot your system using different profiles, and
- switch between configurations in just seconds. Additionally, Desktop
- Edition users can schedule snapshots to be automatically taken at
- predefined intervals (such as daily, weekly, monthly, etc.).
-
- See the ConfigSafe Online Help section entitled "Introduction
- to ConfigSafe" for more information about the features and
- operation of ConfigSafe. Online help can be accessed by clicking
