v3.5 now allows you to simultaneously record one/several channels at the same time, while either watching another channel or viewing a previously recorded program (or even one which is currently being made!).

The way in which the digital terrestrial television system works means that the specific channels which can be recorded/viewed simultaneously will depend upon how many DigiTV tuners you have installed on your PC and what they are currently being used for. The reason for this is simply due to the fact that digital terrestrial channels are not all transmitted on a single frequency, but instead are broadcast in groups called Multiplexes.
<br><br>
Due to the fact that a tuner can only be set to receive one specific frequency at a time, and the fact that each multiplex is transmitted on a different frequency, if you have one tuner installed then you will only be able to pick up data from one multiplex at a time. If you want to simultaneously receive data from additional multiplexes, you'll require additional tuners.

Adding additonal tuners is simple and for further information about this please see our <a href='../Multituner/Multituner%20-%20Configuring%20and%20using%20multiple%20tuners.htm'>'Multi-tuner Setup'</a> section.

Whether you have a single or multi-tuner setup, using v3.5 you can now do many tasks simultaneously and we have therefore added in new control systems to allow you to easily switch between them.

The activity screen is designed to show you a summary of the current tasks DigiTV is performing.
<br>
It shows:-

<li>The current status of each of your installed tuners -
<br> e.g. whether or not they are currently being used to record programs.
<li>Which recordings are currently being made and the filenames being used.
<li>The current status of the playback device.
<br><br>
<b>To bring up the Activity Control Menu</b>
<br><br>
<li>If you are in digital TV mode/playback mode and you have the Nebula remote, press the TV button.
<li>If you have a One For All remote control, press Menu then choose option 6.
<li>On the keyboard press F1 to bring up the main menu, then choose option 6.
<br><br>
<b>Switching between tasks</b>
<br><br>
<li>Use the cursor buttons on your remote/keyboard to highlight the 'Switch to' button next to the task
<br> you want to change to.
<li>Now press 'Enter' on the keyboard or 'ok' on the remote control to change to the selected task.
<br><br>
Alternatively you can use the mouse to left click on the 'Switch to' button next to the task you want to use.
<br><br>
<b>Stopping recordings</b>

<li>Use the cursor buttons on your remote/keyboard to highlight the 'Stop' button next to the recording
<br> instance you want to stop.
<li>Now press 'Enter' on the keyboard or 'ok' on the remote control to change to the selected task.
