  10.     BCM Hardware System Health Monitor is used to monitor temperatures,
  11.     fan speed and system voltages.  LM78 must be present for it to work.
  12.     Please see Notes for driver installation procedures.

  16.     1. Installation program supplies an option to install LM78 driver for you.
  17.        If you would rather install the driver by yourself, please follow the
  18.        steps to install the driver.
  19.  
  20.        To install LM78 driver on Windows 95:
  21.  
  22.           a. Copy HSYSMON.VXD to .\system directory under Windows 95 directory
  23.  
  24.        To install LM78 driver on Windows NT:
  25.  
  26.           From a MS-DOS window:
  27.           a. Copy HSMPORT.SYS to .\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS directory under yours windows
  28.              NT directory.  (e.g. c:\winnt\system32\drivers\hsmport.sys)
  29.  
  30.           b. run "REGINI HSMPORT.INI".
  31.  
  32.           c. Close all programs and reboot the system.

  35.     2. Installation program doesn't check existing installation of BCM Hardware
  36.        System Health Monitor. Please uninstall the existing copy before install
  37.        a new copy.
  38.  
  39.        To uninstall BCM Hardware System Health Monitor:
  40.  
  41.           a. Double click on the Add/Remove Programs icon from Control Panel.
  42.  
  43.           b. Select "BCM Hardware Monitor" entry from the installed software list.
  44.  
  45.           c. Click on "Add/Remove" button.
  46.  
  47.           d. Click on "Yes" button when prompted for confirmation.

  50.        To uninstall LM78 driver on Windows 95:

  52.           From a MS-DOS window:
  53.           a. Delete .\system\hsysmon.vxd unter Windows 95 directory.

  55.        To uninstall LM78 driver on Windows NT:

  57.           From a MS-DOS window:
  58.           a. Delete .\system32\drivers\hsmport.sys under Windows NT directory.
  59.              (e.g. C:\WinNT\system32\drivers\hsmport.sys)
  60.  
  61.           b. Bring up registry editor by type "regedit" and press "Enter".
  62.  
  63.           c. From "Registry Editor", delete the key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System
  64.              \CurrentControlSet\Services\HsmPort".

  66.           d. Close all programs and reboot the system.
