  24. Thank you for trying The Sleuthhound!, a new generation personal search
  25. engine that operates like Web Search Engine on your Hard Drive. This
  26. hard drive search program allows you to have instant access to
  27. your documents by keywords.  This file is brief and is designed to
  28. point you to other resources. Please be sure to send us your feedback
  29. to support@isleuthhound.com so we can continue to improve The
  30. Sleuthhound!.

  33. Resources
  34. ==========
  35. You have the opportunity to use the Sleuthound so it will automatically
  36. update itself. Placed in your Start Up group, The Sleuthhound icon will
  37. then appear in your System Tray. This is to allow an instant update of
  38. all your search zones and a progressive scheduling of zone updates, to
  39. facilitate excellent search results for you. If you do not wish to use
  40. this resource, right click on the Main Window (anywhere)  and select
  41. "Remove from Start-Up Folder"

  44. System requirements
  45. ===================
  46. In order to successfully use The Sleuthhound!, you need the following:
  47.  
  48.    * Pentium (tm)-based IBM PC compatible computer
  49.      (or higher).
  50.    * Minimum of 32MB of memory (RAM)
  51.    * Microsoft  Windows  98, Windows Me, Windows NT 4.0
  52.      Windows 2000, Windows XP Operating System.
  53.    * Approx 10 MB of free disk space (additional space is needed for search zones).
  54.    * A mouse
  55.    * A color monitor with a VGA card (800x600 screen
  56.      resolution and 16-bit color mode or better is
  57.      recommended).

  60. Installation
  61. ============
  62. The Sleuthhound! is installed simply by starting (CLICKING) the
  63. self-installing EXE file. You will be asked for the destination
  64. directory, program manager group and then the installation program will
  65. copy all neccesary files and create several Programs Menu items for The
  66. Sleuthhound! and its help file. After that, it will execute The
  67. Sleuthhound!

  69. Special Note for Windows NT4, and Windows 2000 users.
  70. You must have administrator rights to install The Sleuthhound!.  
  71. To Install The Sleuthhound!, logon with administrator login. After
  72. installing, login under user name and enter your personal registration
  73. code.

  76. Uninstallation
  77. ==============
  78. The Sleuthhound! can be completely removed from your system. In order
  79. to do this, open the Control Panel and run the "Add/Remove Programs"
  80. applet. Then, you can select The Sleuthhound! from the list of
  81. installed programs, and click on the "Add/Remove..." button.  You may
  82. also use the convenient "Uninstall The Sleuthhound!" menu item in the
  83. The Sleuthhound! folder on the Programs Menu.

  85. The Remove applet will then start running and you will be presented
  86. with options such as install, maintenance, and remove. Select the 
  87. last option, REMOVE and click the NEXT button. The Sleuthhound will
  88. then be removed from your computer.

  92. ============
  93. The The Sleuthhound! website (http://www.isleuthhound.com) always has
  94. the latest information about The Sleuthhound!, so be sure to stop by
  95. from time to time to check for news and updates. It can be accessed by
  96. clicking on the black underlined iSleuthhound Technologies in the main
  97. program window.  Also, make sure you check out the online help that
  98. comes with the product. The Help file is accessible from the Help menu
  99. in the The Sleuthhound! main window.

  105. Registration
  106. ============
  107. After you download and install The Sleuthhound!, you have 30 days to
  108. try the product with no obligation. If you want to use it beyond the
  109. 30-day trial period, you must register. Registering The Sleuthhound!
  110. permits unlimited use of the product. You will be reminded about need
  111. to register during the last 5 days of the evaluation. The Sleuthhound!
  112. will not run after its evaluation period has ended if not registered.

  114. The following information is for individual licenses. Upon receipt of
  115. payment you will receive a unique serial number, which, when entered in
  116. the registration dialog box of The Sleuthhound!, will register your
  117. copy of The Sleuthhound! for unlimited use. The registration number
  118. will be sent to you via e-mail. Note, no disk will be sent. All updates
  119. to the software will be made available via anonymous ftp:// or http://
  120. download. Once registered, a future version of The Sleuthhound! loaded
  121. over the previous version will recognize your registration serial
  122. number.
