Use Sepia to give your photos an old fashioned look. Select [Filter | Sepia] to add this effect to your image.
Very often pictures taken using a non-professional camera can be dark or underexposed. By using the Auto Levels feature, the brightness and contrast levels can be automatically adjusted to instantly improve picture quality.
FotoCanvas supports ACD Image plug-ins. This means that FotoCanvas is compatible with 14 image formats. If you are running ACDSee then FotoCanvas will support over 40 image formats!
You can create compound selections by holding down the Ctrl and Shift keys while drawing out a selection with your mouse.
All of the image processing operations (rotate, colorize, etc...), can operate on both floating and anchored selections. After making a selection (or copying and pasting a new image over top another), simply try using tools to the selection.

Most FotoCanvas image filters will only operate on truecolor (24 bit) images? If some effects are not available - go to the Color menu and select: Truecolor.
You can use the mouse wheel to navigate around your image. Using the mouse wheel by itself will scroll up or down. Holding down <Ctrl> while using the wheel will scroll left or right and holding down <Shift> will scroll extra fast.
You can open up more than one instance of FotoCanvas. Simply go to the File menu and choose Open (to locate an image) or New (to create a new image).
The Eyedropper, Pencil, Line, Airbrush, and Flood Fill tools allow you to use the alternate mouse button to apply the secondary color (as selected in the Color Picker).
You can create your own eraser! Simply choose the Pencil or the Line tool, pick white as the primary color, and choose a line width in the Tools Option box.
