  65.     values of the active layer so that the darkest point becomes black
  66.     and the brightest point becomes as bright as possible, without altering
  67.     its hue. This is often a ‚Äú<span class="quote">magic fix</span>‚Äù for images that are
  68.     dim or washed out. ‚Äú<span class="quote">Normalize</span>‚Äù works on layers from RGB,
  69.     Grayscale, and Indexed images.
