  64.     The <span class="guimenuitem">Autocrop Layer</span> command automatically
  65.     crops the active layer, unlike the
  66.     <a class="link" href="gimp-tool-crop.html" title="4.4.¬† Crop">Crop Tool</a>, or the
  67.     <a class="link" href="gimp-layer-crop.html" title="10.51.¬† Crop to Selection">Crop Layer</a> command which let you
  68.     manually define the area to be cropped.

  71.     This command removes the largest possible area around the outside edge
  72.     which all has the same color. It does this by scanning the layer along a
  73.     horizontal line and a vertical line and cropping the layer as soon as it
  74.     encounters a different color, whatever its transparency.
